One positive outcome of the housing collaspe is that more and more companies are realzing that they must evolve around the consumer.

First, in a very basic way – improving our skills in how we do our job. We are now asked to provide the numbers and other relevant information that tells buyers and seller that we can get results for them in our challenged markets. I love the transparency of it all. No place to hide for those who don’t step up – and it’s about time. We handle the largest transaction most make in a lifetime and too many of us are lousy at what we do.

Second, in the way we connect and market – on social media. Laying out and rethinking when necessary our strategies to provide consumers with information they want. Listening is the tough part here – when do they respond – do they return over and again – that’s the point.

It’s all about the consumer – they get it – do we?
